Jim Hering
Raised in Ohio, Jim Hering has been living in New Mexico since 2003. Although educated as a teacher, there were a couple of other career paths that helped round out his skills. In 2008, Jim joined the staff of Pathways Academy as a teacher, and moved into the role of Principal and Executive Director of the school in 2017. He works with all the stakeholders of the school to make it a financially strong and essential part of the New Mexico educational ecosystem for students with special needs. His heart is for helping struggling students to thrive in class and in life.
We live in a country where the rates of diagnosis for Autism and ADHD are increasing year over year. Our educational systems often struggle to serve neurodiverse populations in the midst of all they are required to do. What can help students to find success educationally?
